Welcoming message for the Building Bridges Students of 2009
Dear Building Bridges students.
In two weeks we are going to meet again in Germany.
After 10 years of delegations, trying to promote peace and understanding, it looks like we are still in the very begining.
I hope you are all doing well.
Here, in the Middle East, we are going through a very hard period both for Israelis and Palestinians.
I feel that our work trying to promote peace is like a whisper in the background of the thunders of the rockets, tanks, and the suppliance of the innocent victims.
In Germany and Europe we can see these days in the media a huge eruption of Antisemitist and anti-Israelis demonstrations.
Dispite the dark times we are going throught, it is our command to keep our dreams and faith ahead for better times to come.
You should remember that we are comming as friends and it is our friendship what we want to spreach to the world. We want a hope for a better future that is still a living will in our hearts.
With love, respect and wishes of Shalom,
Mara,
Building Bridges Coordinator
